BHQ take: Not unexpectedly, Gomez is out as the Phils' closer. While he saved 37 games in 2016, his skills were wanting: 4.40 xERA and a 63 BPV. The Phils will turn the role over to the 38-year-old Benoit despite the fact that his recent skills have been only marginally better than Gomez's. In 2016, his xERA was 4.24 and his BPV was 71. He did have a 9.8 Dom, albeit with a 4.5 Ctl, and he has 51 career...
