BHQ take: Olson suffered a broken hamate bone, which was removed in the surgical procedure. OAK did not announce how long Olson would be out, but hitters are usually out from 6-8 weeks (and sometimes longer). For now, we'll assume Olson misses the minimum 6 weeks or so, but that could change. Stay tuned. Right now, it appears the A's will use Mark Canha as Olson's main... |
