Giants | Jake Peavy activated from DL
San Francisco Giants SP Jake Peavy (back) was activated from the 15-day disabled list Friday, July 3. SP Tim Hudson (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder strain.  Source: MLB.com
 
BHQ take: Peavy had been on the DL since mid-April after two mediocre starts. But despite giving up four walks, he turned in a decent effort vs. WAS on Friday, holding WAS scoreless through six innings before coughing up a two-run HR in the seventh. His final line for the night included 6 1/3 IP, four Ks and just three hits. Still, Peavy hasn't been the pitcher...
