NEWS: Boston Red Sox OF Jarren Duran was placed in a walking boot Wednesday, Aug. 23, as the team evaluates the MRI results on his left toe.

BHQ SPIN: Earlier in the week, Duran had been placed on the 10-day IL for an injury he sustained climbing a wall in Yankee Stadium in an unsuccessful attempt to rob Gleyber Torres of a home run. Duran was replaced on the roster by OF Wilyer Abreu, acquired in the 2022 deadline deal that sent C Christian Vázquez to Houston. Abreu, who had hit 22 HR and .274/.391/.538 slash at Triple-A Worcester, will reportedly factor into the center field mix in Duran’s absence, though Boston initially turned to OF Adam Duvall after Duran was removed from the...
