NEWS: Boston Red Sox 1B Triston Casas was placed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday, September 16 (retroactive to Sept. 15), due to right shoulder inflammation.

BHQ SPIN:  According to manager Alex Cora, the Red Sox are not yet ready to say Casas’ impressive rookie season is over. He is eligible to come off the IL on Sept. 26. After a slow start, Casas really found his groove in the second half (.309 BA, 15 HR), maintaining his signature strong walk rate (14%) and bumping up his contact rate (73%).
