Chapman being groomed as CIN closer?
After being given a three-run lead to begin the 9th inning, CIN closer Sean Marshall (LHP, CIN) was unable to seal the deal Saturday vs. the Yankees. Marshall was pulled after giving up two runs and four hits in favor of Jose Arredondo (RHP, CIN), who managed to close out the game without further incident. Afterward, Reds manager Dusty Baker suggested that Marshall could lose his role to Arnoldis Chapman (LHP, CIN) in short order. Despite the fact that Marshall hasn't pitched that badly, it's not difficult to see why. While Marshall has recorded an excellent 21/3 K/BB over 14 1/3 IP, a whopping 50% h% and an equally inflated 22% hr/f% have led to a 5.03 ERA that doesn't...
