Michael Saunders, SEA CF revisited

Michael Saunders (OF, SEA) has inherited his early 2012 playing time due to Franklin Gutiérrez's (OF, SEA) torn right pectoral muscle; SEA's regular CF is expected to return in late April. But although he is a premium defender, Gutierrez has also recorded a sub-.230 xBA and just 13 HR over his last 900 MLB AB.  And even though SEA manager Eric Wedge said Monday that Gutierrez could begin a minor league rehab assignment at the end of this week, Saunders just may have more than a temporary opportunity.
