NEWS: Washington placed CJ Abrams on the 10-day IL with a hip flexor strain and recalled infielder Nasim Nunez from Triple-A Rochester.
IMPACT: Low
BHQ SPIN: The hip issue has been bothering Abrams for a while and led to him being removed from Friday’s game. The Nationals are hoping the 10-day IL trip will take care of the issue. In the meantime, we’ve dropped Abrams’ projected playing time to 90%. Shortstop will likely be manned by Nunez, who now gets a 5% playing time projection, and by Paul DeJong, who will be moving over from third base. When DeJong is at short, playing time will open at third for José Tena and Amed Rosario.
