NEWS: The Mets signed lefty Sean Manaea to a three-year, $75 million contract that includes $23.75 million deferred over 10 years.

BHQ SPIN: The Mets are hoping Manaea can replicate his 2024 second half performance, during which he delivered a 3.16 ERA (3.64 xERA), a K-BB% of 19%, and a BPX of 134. Manaea will turn 33 in February, so expecting a top of the rotation performance may be a tad optimistic, but he should again provide the Mets with decent outings every five days (or six if the Mets go to a six-man rotation). His arrival seems to set the Mets rotation as Kodai Senga, David Peterson, Frankie Montas, Clay Holmes and Manaea with Tylor Megill, Griffin Canning, and Paul Blackburn as...
