NEWS: Kansas City placed RHP Hunter Harvey on the 15-Day IL and recalled RHP Carlos Hernández from AAA-Omaha.

BHQ SPIN: Harvey, who has not pitched since August 4 due to mid-back tightness, was placed on the 15-Day IL retroactive to August 7. Harvey’s absence leaves a hole in the late-inning mix for a Kansas City bullpen that is currently in flux due to the struggles of James McArthur, who has spent the majority of the year as the team’s closer. With Harvey sidelined and McArthur struggling, Lucas Erceg now appears to be the most-trusted reliever in Kansas City’s bullpen.
