NEWS: Updating a previous item, Triston Casas has been diagnosed with a left rib fracture and will miss an extended period of time.
IMPACT: High 
BHQ SPIN: According to the Boston Globe, Casas’ injury is similar to one suffered by Carlos Correa in 2019, which cost the shortstop two months. Bobby Dalbec is expected to see most of the time at first base in Casas’ absence. Dalbec started the season 1-for-32 with 18 strikeouts but did collect his second hit of the season on April 24. If Dalbec continues to struggle, Boston might begin to explore other options, including AAA-Worcester’s Niko Kavadas. But for now, Dalbec will be given a shot to recapture his form from the second half of 2021.
