But nothing hurts worse than watching the starter you picked up get rocked, which is what happened on Monday to those who grabbed Austin Gomber for last week's two-step.
As usual, we're going to dig into some two-start pitchers for the coming week and take a look at their matchups. Just let the Gomber disaster be a reminder that while good matchups are nice on paper, the skill level of a pitcher is the more important factor to consider when scouring the wire for potential pickups.
