Fantasy baseball auctions, like poker, are best experienced in person. To succeed, you need to pay attention to what you see and hear. How are your fellow participants behaving—are they making or avoiding eye contact? Do they sit differently as things progress? How about their pace—does it slow down/speed up at critical times? Does their voice change?
Alas, in our current upside-down world, it wasn’t meant to be. No LABR drafts at First Pitch Florida in Tampa… no Eno Sarris suitcase full of tasty west coast beers… no coordinated jerseys for Rick Wolf and Glenn Colton (as far as I know).
