When targeting hitters in points leagues, your strategy should mirror the roto strategy of punting batting average. You need to rack up counting stats, so using metrics based on playing time remains paramount. The Mayberry Method, for example, remains very effective in the points format. Runs Above Replacement also is very easy to calculate as “Points Above Replacement.”
