ALTERNATIVE: 2023 Points League Draft Guide—Hitters

Points leagues in 2023 almost completely debunk the myth of positional scarcity. For the first time in recent memory, we find no significant difference between middle infielders, corner infielders, outfielders, or catchers (in one-catcher leagues) when looking at points above replacement value.

When analyzing who you should draft in points leagues, you first determine replacement level, or the projected points of the last starting player.  You can then look for tiers of point differential to determine how many incremental points the players you draft project to score above the next player at the position and other players.
