WATCHLIST: Keep an eye on potential promotions

The WatchList column is a quick-hit look at those minor league players that may be on the verge of a call-up, whether it be due to an injury on the big league club or sterling performance. Many of the players covered in the WatchList will not be top-level prospects, but instead players that could hold some short-term value in the right situation. Of course, there are lots of unknowns and variables when it comes to call-ups and the WatchList can be purely speculative.

 

As most major league clubs have passed the 25-game mark, there may be enough of a sample for organizations to make various changes. We always are faced with "small sample size" alerts in the early going, but some clubs may be running out of patience. Here are six minor...
