WATCHLIST: Early season possibilities

The WatchList column is a quick-hit look at those minor league players that may be on the verge of a call-up, whether it be due to an injury on the big league club or sterling performance. Many of the players covered in the WatchList will not be top-level prospects, but instead players that could hold some short-term value in the right situation. Of course, there are lots of unknowns and variables when it comes to call-ups and the WatchList can be purely speculative.
Leslie Anderson (1B, TAM)
The Rays are struggling with generating offense and currently rank 29th in BA and 28th in slugging. Shelley Duncan is barely holding his head above water as a DH and Matt Joyce is hitting under .200. The 31-year-old Anderson could be an answer...
