The Giants made a move this past weekend, shipping offseason free-agent acquisition Austin Jackson (OF, TEX) to the Texas Rangers, bringing up rookie Steven Duggar (OF, SF) from Triple-A as a corresponding move.
The left-handed Duggar entered the season as the team’s #5 prospect, after missing much of 2017 with hip and elbow injuries. But the 24-year-old played well (.263 BA, 3 HR and 9-of-10 on the basepaths) in the Arizona Fall League, and was hitting .272 with 4 HR and 11 SB (on 15 attempts) across 316 AB at Triple-A this year.
