We're excited to announce several new PlayerLink features that Scoresheet players will find valuable for the popular simulation game.
As of this morning, you'll notice a new "Scoresheet" tab in each batter's PlayerLink page. First, this tab contains the fielding ranges from the just-released 2014 player lists, and will be updated throughout the year as players qualify at new positions. Also, the tab applies the 2014 Scoresheet platoon factors to the BaseballHQ.com projections to get a better sense of each player's BA, OBP, SLG and OPS against both RHP and LHP.
So as the above screen grab of Edwin Encarnación's Scoresheet tab shows, you can easily see the effect of his platoon split against LHP and RHP, both in his projected BHQ stats, as well as his year to date stats once play begins. This should be a helpful tool for Scoresheet players both in the pre-season (draft and inital lineup phase) and for in-season (lineup, trade and supplemental draft possibilities).
The same information (fielding ranges and platoon splits) is also available in a new Scoresheet-specific version of our batter projections file, available on our Stats and Projections page.
Special thanks to the folks at Scoresheet for their help with this feature.
