This is the 23rd time that I've devoted the first two Fridays in March to multi-thousand-word pre-draft expositions about players I find interesting.
Back during the last century, we called these "sleepers" and "gambles." These days, who knows what those terms mean anymore? In some leagues, Carlos Carrasco is a sleeper; in other leagues, Carlos Rodón is an already-rostered commodity. And everyone—our writers, you in the subscriber forums, my sister's housekeeper—is on top of the latest sabermetric insights so the player pool has been pretty much picked clean by now.
