NEWS: LHP Cody Bradford was placed on the 15-day IL with a mild lower back strain, retroactive to April 11, while RHP Michael Lorenzen gets set to make his Rangers debut.

BHQ SPIN: The immediate thought from the Rangers is that Bradford—who is among the AL leaders in ERA and most metrics after his three starts—won’t need more than the minimum 15 days to heal up. Bradford’s roster spot was taken by RHP Cole Winn, who is set to make his MLB debut. A one-time starting prospect, Winn has found recent success working out of the bullpen at Triple-A Round Rock, and that’s where he’ll be slotted now.
