ROTISSERIE: The Reliability of Ratio-Protecting Relievers

In a previous article, I recommended “quality over quantity” as a useful rule of thumb for pitching. Unless and until you find yourself in the position of needing to make up ground in K and W, even at the risk of taking damage to your pitching ratios, the prudent choice will generally be to prioritize ERA and WHIP in borderline decisions regarding which pitchers to roster and start.
