Can Scherzer post a third consecutive sub-2.50 ERA? … A pair of oblique strains (May, Sept.) shelved Max Scherzer (RHP, NYM) for 60 days and limited him to 145 IP (his lowest IP total over a full season since becoming a starter in 2009), but didn’t impact his performance as he finished 2022 with a stellar 2.29 ERA and 0.91 WHIP. Is it safe to expect continued dominance in 2023?
