ALTERNATIVE: 2017 Strat-O-Matic ratings analysis

What can we glean from the new Strat-O-Matic Ratings to help us win? Few top tier starting pitchers exist from 2016, making them a premium to acquire. In fact, overall pitching lacks the depth it enjoyed the past few years. When drafting or building a team, you must be willing to pay more or settle for mediocre pitching. While home runs exceeded previous years, many of those longball producers lack the on base skills to complete their game. You need to craft your lineup wisely and understand that positional scarcity has turned a bit on its head.
